Counseling for Children and Teens.

It can be difficult finding a therapist that you trust with your child’s mental health. You need someone that is knowledgeable and values parent insight. After all, who knows your child better than you?

You may be looking for a therapist because you notice your child is more irritable lately, there have been changes in their grades, or you noticed other changes in their behavior that make you feel concerned or even scared.

I am so glad you are here. Read on to see if my counseling services may be a good fit for your child.

Children need support and parents do too.

Children and teens may present with a variety of different concerns and it is not always clear how to navigate supporting them through those challenges.

Signs of depression, self-harm or thoughts of suicide can be alarming for parents.

Sometimes a child may have difficulty transitioning from one grade to another or has difficulty navigating friendships and healthy boundaries.

Other times, children may have challenges with impulsivity or ‘big emotions’.

Maybe morning or evening routines seem chaotic and frustrating and for whatever reason, you have not found a routine that works.

If any of these experiences describe you and your child, you need a safe space to ask questions, identifying factors that may be contributing to changes observed in your child’s behavior and effective interventions that put your mind at ease.
